Storage And Fair Usage Policy

Last Updated: July 20, 2026 · Version 2026-07-beta.1

This policy supplements the CoastPix Terms of Service and applies to media, documents, attachments, website assets, and related content stored through a Studio workspace.

Purchased Storage

Each plan includes the storage amount shown in the applicable order, pricing page, or account settings. CoastPix uses decimal units: 1 GB equals 1,000,000,000 bytes and 1 TB equals 1,000 GB. Storage is shared across the Studio workspace.

Counted storage may include original files, generated image variants, thumbnails, videos, audio, documents, attachments, website assets, and items retained in trash or recovery status when those objects remain stored.

Measurement And Overage

CoastPix measures storage from object-storage and application records. The dashboard should show measured use, included capacity, purchased capacity, and any billable amount. CoastPix may pause new uploads after a Studio reaches purchased capacity.

CoastPix will not silently impose a new recurring overage charge. A Studio must receive the price and billing method and agree before a new recurring overage charge begins.

Fair Usage

CoastPix storage is intended for the Studio's photography, galleries, website, contracts, communications, and related business records. It may not be used as a generic backup drive, public file-hosting service, content-delivery service for another product, or repository for unrelated files.

Users may not evade metering, hotlink files at scale, scrape Content, create excessive automated delivery traffic, or use access patterns that materially degrade the Service. CoastPix may apply reasonable file, upload, album, API, concurrency, and bandwidth limits needed to protect the Service.

Notice And Service Protection

Except for unlawful activity, security threats, urgent service protection, or payment failure, CoastPix will ordinarily notify the Studio and provide a reasonable opportunity to reduce use or purchase capacity. CoastPix may limit uploads, throttle abusive delivery, disable compromised links, move affected features to read-only access, or suspend affected functionality.

Independent Backups

CoastPix is not the Studio's sole or permanent archive. The Studio must retain independent backups of original photographs and other irreplaceable Content. Gallery passwords and download controls cannot prevent every screenshot, capture, credential share, or unauthorized redistribution.

Expiration Is Not Deletion

Gallery expiration may disable Client access without deleting stored files. Expiration, archival, trash, account cancellation, and permanent deletion are different states.

Cancellation And Deletion

When a Studio disables its account in Plan & Storage, access ends and CoastPix retains the account and Content for a 30-day recovery period. Permanent deletion becomes available after that period. Limited billing, transaction, fraud-prevention, security, legal-hold, and backup records may remain for their applicable retention periods without preserving active account access.
